An inclusive, interactive storytelling show for children ages 3-9yrs and their grownups.

Castles, crows, and standing stones. Mermaids, dragons and tiny islands surrounded by the sea...

Arthur's Club is a place where stories come alive, and everyone is welcome.

Arthur’s Club uses key word signing woven into the storytelling throughout, so sign and spoken word are intrinsically linked.

Audiences will join Squirrel on her adventures, finding clues, collecting signs, catching stories, and making new friends along the way.

Stories From The Island features original stories written especially for Arthur's Club by a team of award winning children’s authors; James Henry (Hey Duggee, CBBC), Rebecca Cobb, (Missing Mummy, Aunt Amelia), Anna Wilson, (The Wide, Wide Sea), Naomi Jones, (The Perfect Fit), Anna Mansell (The Tempest, Trebah Gardens), and Craig Barr-Green, (Christmas in Cornwall, Gina Kaminski Saves The Wolf).

The show is supported by Wildworks and directed by Wildworks' Artistic Director, Mydd Pharo. Designed by Ellie Williams with original music by composer Matthew Thomason.

Running time - 45 minutes.

The Team

Our latest offering, Arthur’s Club Live: Stories From the Island, has been a unique journey.

After commissioning 6 writers to write new children’s stories for Arthur’s Club, we took these first drafts and worked alongside a Speech and Language Therapist to make the stories as accessible as possible whilst maintaining their essence. Then working with the script editor and the writers we edited the stories again and again as we interwove the signs into the text. Each time the writers rose to the challenge with each new draft returning sharper and more accessible, while keeping the story’s beauty and imagination at the centre.

We use our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion document in every meeting and rehearsal we have. Aiming to create a working environment that is authentic, open, and kind. Where high quality theatre is created with inclusion at its core, enabling opportunities for all children to enjoy a show together where each child is celebrated and considered.

We are very much looking forward to sharing our Stories From The Island with you all.
